A Symphony of Sound: The Victrola XVI
Introduced in 1906, the Victrola XVI, or “Victrola the Sixteenth”, marked a revolution in phonograph design. This elegant cabinet, with its hidden horn, was a far cry from the cumbersome machines that had dominated the market at the time. The VV-XVI’s innovative design, featuring “tone doors” for volume control and a concealed soundbox, offered a refined listening experience that captivated affluent consumers.
